Full-back Ryan Fredericks became the first signing under the Chilean tactician when he agreed to join on a free transfer following the expiry of his contract at London rivals Fulham.
He was soon joined at the London Stadium by highly-rated central defender Issa Diop as well as experienced goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski from Swansea City as the squad begins to take shape under the former Real Madrid and Manchester City boss.
Business isn't expected to stop there either as more new arrivals should arrive in east London before the summer transfer window slams shut in August.
Amid links to Nice striker Alassane Plea, football.london understands rumours of a £27m bid are very wide of the mark, with signing a forward not a priority for Pellegrini this summer, so as it stands, no bid has been made for the player - yet.
Another possible summer target is Lazio's Felipe Anderson.
The Brazilian has been tipped to join the Hammers this summer and there were reports in Italy late last month which suggested that a fee in the region of €40m had finally been agreed.
Judging by his recent social media activity, it would appear that he's already said goodbye to his teammates.
A translation of a post via the 25-year-old's official Twitter account reads: "Viva goodbyes and all that they teach us!."
